About our CagesInsectopia flowerpot frames and sleeves provide natural conditions for keeping some spiders and a very wide variety of insects in the best of health. Suitable insects include butterflies, moths, mantids, stick insects, beetles and aphids. Our products are supplied in flat packs with easy assembly instructions.
Our gathered-top sleeve covers are secured by at the top by a 35cm tie cord (supplied) and the bottom of the sleeve has an elastic draw built into the hem. The sleeves suit all insects that crawl, jump, or burrow and are also suitable for some flying types, including adults emerging from pupae. They can be used with a flowerpot frame or alternatively simply pulled over the branch of a tree or shrub and secured at either end. When using with a flowerpot frame, the cover easily peels downward for entry to the cage.
Designed for indoor or outdoor use, our flowerpot frames are designed to be self supporting and are made of sturdy plastic covered wire with metal fittings. Simply insert the 'legs' of the assembled frame around your growing plant and into the firmed soil in your pot, cover with one of our sleeves, and hey-presto! - an instant self-contained habitat. All Insectopia frames can be used with either square or round pots, and are very quickly dismantled for flat storage after use. |
