Miniature CagesOur miniature cages are perfect for some spiders, and also for crawling and flying insects of all types including small or immature stick insects or mantids and egg-laying lepidoptera. Lightweight and portable, our mini cages are also useful for travel, offering temporary accommodation for a wide range of insects.
At 8" (20cm) in diameter and 12" (30cm) long, the Mini-beast is our smallest free standing cage. Quick to erect, the Mini-beast cage is constructed with a sewn-in top and bottom ring, onto which are clipped three external legs.
The other two handy little cages in our range are our popular budget Bug cage which features an internal two-legged two-section ring frame, and the slightly larger Critter cage. The Critter cage uses a triple-section ring frame system with three legs - improving stability for only a small additional cost. |

Insect Flight & Breeding Tabletop CagesInsectopia's rectangular tabletop® cages for larvae and flying insects are particularly elegant for insect display, with high all-round visibility providing excellent viewing and gently rounded corners to avoid insects being trapped. Use includes, flight, demonstration, and pairing of many insects, egg laying (optionally, potted plants may then be taken out and covered with an Insectopia flat-top flowerpot cage) and rearing of all insect development stages.
Suitable for use indoors, outdoors, or in the laboratory or greenhouse, these versatile cages have an 'n' shaped big door double-slider zipped easy access for attending to larvae, changing plants, and general maintenance. They are weather resistant, being constructed with a hygienic sturdy plastic base for easy cleaning, and plastic coated wire frame. Our tabletop® cages can accommodate potted or cut plant nectar sources or artificial feeders.
Our tabletop® cages can be assembled without tools in around 7 minutes, and are similarly very easily dismantled for flat storage.
